everything is sound | elle's visit to the heartland july 2012 | part 1

It had been 3 yrs since my last visit home to Toledo,OH. Here is just part of my journey in candids. I had missed my family very much. This was our first time together in all of history. All 8 siblings and 12 grandchildren and my parents. I got to meet my nephew Griffin for the first time, as did 6 of my siblings and parents got to meet baby Mark (named after my dad) It was awesome to all be together. It's quite rare and something I was so glad I was able to make happen. Family is everything. The photos below show me and my crazy family. I think everyone's family is crazy, right? lol (train steam engine in Oregon, OH, night sailing on lake erie, my mom's wild pet squirrel "nayteri" that she hand feeds, basketball (our family sport) my brothers have major hops and impress me so much, a very casual front yard sunday dinner (because the house is too small to fit 26 people! lol) and of course the gathering of the 12 grandkiddos. I'm a fab photog, but my 12 nieces and nephews of course didn't want to listen to their auntie elle and look in the camera at once. Surely makes for fun memories to look back on. I tried. I have to give credit to brother Alex (21) for taking a lot of the fun images and the ones where I appear. I have a pretty talented family. We're all photogs for the most part.
